Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026. This policy explains how Gymprint handles your personal data — both in the Gymprint app and on the early-access waitlist.

The Gymprint app

Account data

When you create an account we store your email address and how you signed in (email and password, or Sign in with Apple or Google). If you sign in with Apple or Google we receive only the email your provider shares — never your password.

Scan images

When you scan gym equipment, the photo is uploaded so we can recognise the machine. What happens to it next depends on whether you keep the machine.

If you don’t keep it — you cancel, the scan fails, or you never confirm what it found — the photo is deleted within 24 hours of processing and only the equipment result is kept.

If you do save the machine to your library, we keep a single copy of that photo so the entry shows your machine rather than a stock picture. It lives for as long as the library entry does: remove the machine, or delete your account, and the photo is deleted with it. The original upload is still destroyed on the same 24-hour cycle — the copy is what survives, and nothing else about the scan is kept.

Gym inventory and workouts

Your gym inventory (the equipment list built from your scans), your training plans, and your workout logs (sessions, sets, reps, weights, and progress stats) are stored against your account so the app can do its job. They are never shared with other users or third parties for marketing.

Analytics

We use PostHog, hosted in the EU, to understand how the app is used — events like “scan completed” or “plan generated”, tied to your account ID and subscription tier only. We do not use advertising trackers, we do not track you across other apps or websites, and analytics data is never sold.

Crash reports

If the app crashes, Sentry collects a crash report (stack trace, device model, OS version, and performance diagnostics) so we can fix the problem. Crash reports are used for app reliability only.

Subscriptions

When paid subscriptions go live, purchases run through Apple’s App Store or Google Play, with RevenueCat managing the subscription entitlement. Gymprint never sees or stores your card details — Apple and Google handle payment entirely.

Lawful basis and retention

We process app data to provide the service you signed up for (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)) and rely on our legitimate interest in keeping the app working and improving it (Article 6(1)(f)) for crash reporting and product analytics. Scan images are deleted within 24 hours as described above, with one exception: the single photo kept for a machine you saved to your library, which lives for as long as that entry does. Everything else is kept until you delete your account.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account directly in the app: open Settings → Delete account and confirm. Deletion is immediate and permanent — your profile, gym inventory, saved machine photos, plans, and workout history are erased, and data stored on your device is wiped. Full details are on the account deletion page. If you can’t access the app, email privacy@gymprint.app and we’ll do it for you within 30 days.

The waitlist

When you join the Gymprint early-access waitlist we collect your email address, your optional gym-situation answer, a consent flag confirming you agreed to be contacted, a signup timestamp, and acquisition source / UTM parameters (where you came from, e.g. a social post or referral link). We use this to notify you about early access and the launch, and to analyse aggregate signup intent using anonymised data only.

Waitlist processing is based on Consentunder GDPR Article 6(1)(a) — the form states, directly beside the button, that joining means Gymprint will email you about early access and the launch. You may withdraw consent at any time. We keep waitlist data until you request deletion oruntil 12 months after the Gymprint product publicly launches — whichever comes first.

Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to:

No third-party sale

Your data is never sold, rented, or shared with advertisers or any third party for their own marketing purposes.
